All Things New | in music and the spoken Word
BIO
Garth & Liane MacKay have been ministering together for 39 years. Both were born and raised in Prince Edward Island, Canada's smallest province. One year prior to their marriage in June 1985, they began singing in numerous churches from various denominations throughout this beautiful island. Since that time, they have ministered to many congregations throughout New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Ontario, and have led in worship gatherings in Maine and Pennsylvania, U.S.A. Several years ago, they had the special privilege of singing in Edinburgh, Scotland. In June 2022, after many years of full-time employment, Garth & Liane recently retired from their respective professions of teaching and dietetics. The sense that God is calling them to a travelling ministry is strong; they are confident that God will bless this new adventure above all that they can ask for or even imagine (Ephesians 3: 20).
Garth sang his first solo at age 5 and became full-time pianist in his local church at age 11. Liane also began singing in her early years. Actually, one of the things that Garth noticed, soon after meeting Liane was her love for gospel music. Both Garth & Liane were raised in Christian homes and became very active in their local congregations at early ages. Garth studied theology and pastoral counselling at Acadia Divinity College, completing two degrees there and was ordained into the Christian ministry in 2003 within the Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada (CBAC). They pastored in various churches in all three Maritime Provinces. Garth later completed doctoral studies, graduating from the University of Stirling, UK, in 2015. His dissertation was titled, “The Holiness Movement in the Canadian Maritime Region, 1880- 1920.” Before beginning their careers, Garth completed degrees in Arts and Education; Liane has a science degree in nutrition and completed her dietetic internship. In 2007, she graduated from the CBAC 3-year Lay Pastoral Training Program.
Garth and Liane offer a relaxed ministry style that includes both traditional and contemporary music. Their sincerity and passion for ministry to people of all ages, backgrounds and denominations has spanned almost 40 years!

Meet Garth & Liane MacKay
Our first intro video describing our backgrounds, passions and hearts for the Lord. This was such an exciting point in our All Things New journey!
It's hard to believe it's been a year since we launched All Things New in September 2022. We're excited to tell you about the music, relationships and ministry we experienced up to now. Also, we've created a new page called, Liane's Kitchen for thoughts, tips and recipes and more. Garth will also be adding a page devoted to his thoughts (stay tuned).
